Helen Handcock

Helen Handcock is an experienced facilitator, coach and trainer of trainers. She is a career development specialist and has extensive experience working as an independent consultant. She has developed training programs and widely utilized resources and has delivered training and follow-up coaching nationally to trainers, managers and employees. Clients include Canadian Career Development Foundation, Natural Resources Canada and Alberta Human Resources and Employment among others. Helen has instructed a variety of college and university transfer courses in career development for post secondary institutions.

 

Helen has also provided consultation related to the planning and implementation of competency management systems, nationally and internationally, working with clients such as Cisco Systems, PeopleSoft and Gateway Computers. She has delivered Competency Modeling training and follow-up coaching to a variety of clients as well as being involved in the design of training delivery and materials.

 

In addition, Helen has had the opportunity to plan, implement and manage a wide variety of projects and programs. Examples include the delivery of innovative career management services programs and the implementation/roll out of web-based competence management systems in large organizations. She has been involved in staff recruitment, selection, training and management in many projects. 

 

Helen’s educational background includes a Master of Education in Counselling (University of Victoria). She is a nationally certified Peer Helping/Training Consultant.
