Karen Knull

Karen Knull has a diverse background with over 8 years of career development experience and an additional 15 years of business experience including sales, marketing, operations and management.

She obtained her Master of Education in Counselling at Dalhousie University and has combined her education and business knowledge to serve the career development needs of high school youth in Central Alberta including mainstream, at risk, alternative, outreach and aboriginal youth.

Most recently, Karen has spent 6 years working with 3 First Nations to facilitate career development programming and create work experience connections for the youth in their communities. Working closely with parents, school administrators, band councillors and business and industry, she helped expand the off campus programming and created hundreds of opportunities for job shadowing, attending career fairs, touring work sites, visiting post-secondary institutions and even helped secure an apprenticeship placement.

She is passionate about workplace safety and obtained her Health and Safety Administrator certificate this spring. Karen loves learning and is one third of the way through the Aboriginal Leadership program at the Banff Centre.
