About the CDMH Blog

We, Dave Redekopp & Michael Huston, are career development specialists interested in the relationships between career development and mental health. We would like much of the rest of the world to be interested too.

Our bios are available at http://www.life-role.com/talent.htm. In short, Dave is a consultant in career development and has been since 1988. Michael is a Registered Psychologist providing counselling services in a university.

The first few CDMH posts will be written by us. Our hope is that the community of practice will soon be involved in contributing posts. We are not sure how this will go, and we think that is how it should be.

Full disclosure: The CDMH blog is currently under the banner of the Life-Role Development Group Ltd., a private limited company owned by Dave. The blog is not intended to be a revenue generator for the company. The aim here is to share information. Earning a living will come through workshops, consultations, and services related to CDMH and other career development matters.

  1. Hello Dave and Michael,

Just finished watching your presentation with the CEAV and have been reading your book. Some really exciting and empowering ideas here. Your articulation of ideas and supporting evidence of the role of career education in mental health are really reaffirming. I recently referenced your work in our school newsletter and got great feedback from parents and staff who are very conscious of the need to ensure students are not languishing in the current climate.

I would be really interested to participate in research and will look into the opportunities we have to start gathering some evidence within our school.

Thank you again for your time, I found it really beneficial.
